Douglas Ray - Born 01/23/2007

Douglas Ray was Born to Keith and Cindy residing in Salisbury, NC. He was born with a large Hemangioma in

the Diaper Area, Tethered Cord with Lipoma (Fatty Mass Buildup), and Some Urinary Defects or

Genital Abnormalities.  The Hemangioma is causing him alot of Grief and Pain due to the location.

It does run from the front to the back, to give a brief description of how it gives him problems is, when he

has a bowel movement, He screams. Cannot wipe the area, it cracks, ulcerates and bleeds at times. We have to use

the sink sprayer to clean him every time. We are afraid that it may even be inside him in his intestines

or internal Organs. . We are now seeking help from specialist to help Douglas with his condition. You can see

below what we are doing and how he is doing. This will be updated Regular. Due to where his Hemangioma is located,

From front waist to Lower back and his Genital Defects, we cannot and will not post Pictures of his affected

areas. If you have any questions, please call or contact us. The Hemangioma needs to be taken care of before his

other surgeries are done.

9/26/07 - We now have an Appointment in New York with a specialist to take a look at Douglas on

Oct 30th, 2007 and see what our next steps need to be.

10/03/07 - On 10/10/07 we are Having an MRI Done, Then when he sees Dr. Waner, we will know

how much of him is affected by the Hemangioma. The Hemangioma  could be on the inside as well

as the outside. He has not had a MRI or CT Scan yet.

Oct 30th - Took Douglas to see Dr. Waner in NY,  We are scheduling this for November 26th.

On the way to NY his urologist called and informed us he had looked at the MRI and told us Douglas has a

Tethered Cord, we have to see a Neurosurgeon to take care of this.

In NY, Dr.Waner said he could take care of the Hemangioma and thinks one Surgery or Treatment. We are

going to schedule this after he has the Surgery for the Tethered Cord.

We need Donations for the Surgeries.

Nov 9th - Went to see The Neurosurgeon today. Douglas' Tethered Cord has a Lipoma or Fatty Mass build up at

the Base of the spine. This needs to be repaired ASAP. Surgery is scheduled for Jan 3rd. After the Surgery, which has

alot of risk, but has to be done, he will have to lay still on his back for 72 Hours, in the Hospital for 5 Days. When he

comes home, there will be a risk of infection that could cause Meningitis. It will be a rough journey. Before this

we will be taking him to NY on Nov 26th for the Hemangioma Removal.

Nov 26th - Took Douglas to NY, Dr. Waner Did some laser on the Hemangioma and Removed one skin tag he had.

He had one stitch. Dr. Waner could not treat all the Hemangioma with one surgery as we thought. He has to have

one more, which is scheduled for March 14th in NY. He is doing well, he is such a trooper!  He  has some wonderful

Doctors and a lot of people praying for him.

Jan 3rd, 2008 - Douglas had his Surgery for his Tethered Cord on Jan 3rd. He done real well and the surgery went

May 6th, 2008 - On June 23rd, Douglas has to have another MRI on his back, Just to make sure that all is OK and going well. Also, He is going to have some Physical Therapy to keep his Back from tightening and also for his legs.
